So, that was an extremely interesting episode to me. A lot of reveals! We now know at least partially, what the Empire wanted Nala-Se for, and it is so lovely to tie it to that early Clone Wars arc in a way it makes so much sense. I also thought the beginning had Alien vibes. I find it interesting to see the Kaminoan Prime minister alive, as in the first season, it was implied they killed him (granted, implied but not shown).. One thing that I keep thinking about a lot is Omega and her original intended role. I've said many times that I find she has special abilities. And I don't think the Kaminoans would create a clone without a purpose. Nala Se seems to care about Omega, but is it just motherly attachment or is there something more to it, something more practical? I hope one way or the other, we find out. Yesterday, a friend of mine suggested a wild theory about Omega: maybe Omega was the first version of Boba Fett, an unaltered clone for Jango, but something went wrong and her Y chromosome is silenced or missing, and that's why she is biologically female, and Jango wanted a male. It is quite a wild theory and I don't think it's true. In the late clone wars episodes, Boba appears to be in his early teens in my opinion (not sure about if there is information about Boba's exact cannonical age, I'll have a look in Wookieepedia, just in case), while Omega seems to be a bit younger, but not by much. But other than that, it could make sense.

Yes, according to Wookieepedia, Boba Fett was born in 32 BBY, and the Clone Wars happen between 22 and 19 BBY, so in late Clone Wars he is 13. And Omega in the first season doesn't look 13 to me.

The ZILLO BEAST IS BACK!!! This was a FANTASTIC EPISODE!!! I also love the Tech and Omega team up! Wrecker nodding at Cid offering 35% was funny. Dr. Glassman is an interesting new character, maybe he is filling Rampart’s role now. If I had to guess, they will learn that the Bad Batch were the ones that escaped, and because Crosshair used to be one of them, Glassman will request for him to find them. He might even talk to Rampart.

I love how everyone's excited about seeing the Zillo Beast again and I'm over here getting excited about Scorch from Republic Commando (2005) having a cameo in this episode. Scorch was the Clone Commado with the grey and yellow markings. For anyone who hasn't played the Republic Commando game Scorch was a member of Delta Squad an elite Clone Commando unit that no doubt heavily inspired the Bad Batch. We played as Boss the leader of the Group voiced by Temuera Morrison while the other members had different voice actors to give the team more personality. The game unfortunately ended on a cliff-hanger so they're fate is unknown by the time of Order 66. They actually made a small cameo in Clone Wars S03 E14 · Witches of the Mist which is set before the final missions to the game this being Delta Squads last appearance. The game doesn't seem to be canon anymore but everything still lines up pretty well so it could easily be brought into canon again. Scorch returned in Bad Batch S01 E14 · War Mantle as one of the Clone Commandos station on the base training the new TK troopers who are now confirmed to be Stormtroopers in the next episode by subtitles. Scorch once again wore his grey and yellow Commando armour standing out from all the plain white armoured Commandos. David W. Collins the lead sound designer on Bad Batch also worked as sound designer on Republic Commando. For Bad Batch he reused so many sound effects from Republic Commando from Clone radio chatter to Star Wars: The Bad Batch: Season 1, Episode 8 when we go into First Person view through the eyes of Hunter. Not only is the UI display pulled straight out of Republic Commando but the sound effects of the suit warning is pulled from Republic Commando as well when you get to Low Health or are being Healed. Also noticed alot of sound effects pulled from other games as well throughout Season 1 but those would be going into possible spoilers just in case you ever play them on the channel or you're own time. Season 2 so far has featured a few effects from older Star Wars games for example the LAAT gunfire from Season 2 Episode 2 I'm pretty sure was pulled from one of the games so it's just really cool for fans of those games being back so many memories.
