Coming This Month... (Patreon)

Hey folks! New month, new schedule! 🥳
For MCU Mondays, I'll be splitting Phase Two between January and February as there are six movies in this phase so that makes it easy for me without overwhelming myself. So this month will have Iron Man 3 (Jan 9), followed by Thor: The Dark World, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Thor and CA are not firmly scheduled for certain Mondays right now, so I will keep you posted. I'm tempted to skip January 16th simply to try to get ahead on watching these as trying to get ahead in any capacity here is a very big priority for 2023 (as you will read soon in the newsletter that will come out later today).
For other films, I will be watching The Terminator and Jaws, which were two of the top voted requests in that monster poll I put up a while back. The last winner of that poll will come out in February and that is Independence Day.
And this month will be a bit heavier on TV shows for the channel! I still need to put up the reactions to Dragon Age Absolution, which were meant to go out last month, but I didn't get around to it. And finally, The Last of Us HBO series releases on January 15 and out of everything on this list, I am genuinely the most excited for it, which is partly why the logo is so much bigger in the promo pic for the month. While I haven't played the video games (yet), I have watched multiple playthroughs of both video games and the DLC on YouTube and Twitch, so I know the story quite well and it is one of the best stories ever in my humble opinion. I cannot wait to see the game come to life on the screen and I decided to do it for the channel simply because of how excited I am.
Since I know there are probably many of you out there who have never seen the video games or know the story in any capacity, I am going to try my best to avoid spoilers in my own reactions and reviews. I don't want to ruin someone's experience if they come to my channel to see my reaction after watching the episode themselves. So what I may end up doing is splitting my thoughts and review section into a spoiler-free part and then a spoiler-heavy part. I'm already sitting here interested in how the show is going to handle certain scenes and interactions in the games, and I have a feeling I will want to talk about that. Let me know what you think about this as there is obviously still time for me to figure out my structure with it.
What are you most excited for this month?
Thank you for everything!
