Hey everyone! It's the first movie of the inaugural kaiielle-oween! Here is my full-length reaction to The Shining! Early access to the edit for this one will be scheduled to go out early next week and then it will go public on YouTube on Friday, October 7th.

Please grab a copy of this movie on your end to watchalong with me. Here is the direct link to my watchalong. I watched The Shining through Crave TV, which is a subscription service here in Canada.

I am not sure what I expected going into this movie but it certainly had many elements that I was not expecting! I also learned that this movie contains a very popular meme that I have seen across the internet for years and years.

Please enjoy! Thank you for everything and I can't wait to hear your thoughts!

For the best watchalong experience, I strongly recommend watching on your computer and using Firefox's Picture-in-Picture feature. With this feature, you would make my reaction video full-screen and pop-out your copy of the movie so that it sits over my video. Move it right over my blurred movie in my video and re-size to your liking. 😊

Going to skip this one for now because I've seen this movie a million times. It is October so I might watch it later in the month. Worth noting that they start the movie off in Boulder where I live and filmed at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado about 45 min. from me. Room 217 is booked years out still because of this movie.

Just sat down with the full reaction. It was humorous to me that you were watching a “haunted hotel” story & thought the ghosts were in Jack’s head. Though as someone coming into the movie reading the book, your commentary could be exposing story-telling flaws. Stephen King famously hates this film as it is not a faithful adaptation. He went so far as to pen the script for a tv mini series adaptation in 1997. I enjoyed your reaction, it had been a few years since I watched this in it’s entirety. Hope you are (did?) enjoy the time away with your friend.
