SURPRISE! A somewhat spontaneous unplanned reaction!

Mom was here Friday and Saturday and requested that we do another reaction together. We decided on Vertigo as it had gotten a lot of votes in the James Stewart/Alfred Hitchcock poll (that Rear Window won) and it was something my Mom hadn't seen. Despite being born in the 60s, she hasn't seen all that many movies from before her time.

Other James Stewart films I’d recommend beyond his other Hitchcock films: “The Philadelphia Story” and “The Shop Around the Corner.” They’re both romantic comedies, but absolute classics.

Just finished watching this reaction in my first-ish watch of this movie. First-ish because I fell asleep the first time and restarted today and powered through a slow burner of a movie. I’m very curious what the book it’s based on is like because ultimately I really enjoyed this movie. I will look to see if there’s an English translation out there. I agree wholeheartedly with your mom, there’s not a lot that needed to said reaction-wise. You really have to take it in. And after a full night’s sleep. Your post film chat was really fun and I look forward to seeing how this edits for YouTube.

It'll be a bit before I get around to editing it, but same! I think it'll be relatively easy to edit because of how much can be cut out because of the slow burn.
