Hello there! Somehow we've made it to Thursday again, meaning I dip into Photoshop to add a tangential figure to a typical DF Direct line up, post it on here and then appeal for your topics and questions for the latest edition of DF Direct Weekly. This week, it's James Cameron - in honour of the amazing Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora... not that we're likely to talk about that!

We'll be discussing the demise of E3 (again, only this time it's really gone) and we'll be taking a quick look at the incredible Link's Awakening port for PC. We'll be discussing the excellent news that all of our recommendations to improve Teardown have been implemented in the latest patch, while we may also share some thoughts on the bogus PS5 Pro specifications that have been doing the rounds this week.

If we can find the time, we'll quickly test out the new God of War Ragnarok DLC, while we'll also have some follow-up discussion on John's epic Gran Turismo 7 vs Forza Motorsport video. Also of interest is that it looks like Intel has shared some of its plans for its very different frame generation techniques and Alex wants to talk about that.

Anything else you'd like to see? And while we usually skip a week over the Xmas holidays, do you have any ideas for a Direct Special we could film to run after Christmas? Please insert your comments, suggestions and questions in the helpfully provided comment box that - perhaps inevitably - sits 'below'.

Hello DF Team! I'm sure I already posted this a week or so ago but as I'm a new member I'm not sure if it went to the right thread...anyway I just joined up so I could ask @Dark1X and the rest of the crew a question that's been eating at me for years now. Are the Xbox 360 Backwards Compatibility and FPS Boost initiatives on Xbox Series systems truly dead? With the strong likelihood that many if not all of Activision's Call of Duty games may show up on Xbox Game Pass next year, it would appear that the Back Compat program could return on a "case by case basis" if Microsoft owns the IP, but my real concern is FPS Boost, which MS more or less stopped talking about when they announced the end to the back-compat initiative. I've made peace with the idea that there will probably be no new BC additions to the Xbox library but I'd at least like to see FPS Boost come to more games in the library that sorely need it, like the Orange Box, Batman: Arkham Knight and the like. Could you guys possibly corner @jronald from Xbox and get some answers from him? Thanks as always and please keep up the amazing work!

Hi guys! Recently, with the new Cyberpunk 2077 update, I've been trying to enjoy the game with decent frame rates. Using Alex's settings on a 3080 and a 5800x3D, I get drops into the mid 40's at time with no Raytracing. Anyway, I was wondering - do you guys have any experience with head scratchingly poor performance that you simply cannot resolve no matter how many steps you've taken to try and fix it? Is it worth an upgrade to a 4070ti to resolve my Cyberpunk (And Alan Wake 2) performance woes?
