Hi everyone, Rich here with your weekly call for questions for the next episode of DF Direct Weekly, due to be filmed tomorrow morning. We've got a packed docket at the moment, discussing a range of topics including Jedi Survivor heading to last-gen consoles and a new ReShade mod coming to add path-traced lighting to DX9+ games (with a Skyrim video doing the rounds!).

We'll also be going into depth on how exploited PS5s running older firmware are running a series of mods - including PS4 Pro Gravity Rush running at 60fps, and we'll also be discussing the end of The Last Hope: Dead Zone Survivor - unceremoniously pulled from the Switch eShop.

Switch 2 rumours? Starfield's playable no-show at Gamescom? Yeah, we'll see if we can find time to discuss all of that too. Alex is on holiday this week, so it'll be John, Rich (ie me) and one another - but for now, let's be having your questions!

why did Sony just now let us stop the beep when turning on the machine?

In recent DF videos you’ve discussed the possibility of future consoles using NVidia chips due to their superior GPUs. However, one thing I didn’t see addressed was the CPU side of things. AMD, for all of their deficiencies in the GPU department, is likely favored by PS and Xbox for their ability to deliver APUs that integrate both a CPU and GPU. As far as I’m aware, nvidia doesn’t have comparable CPU products, except for perhaps some ARM cores; would those be able to deliver acceptable performance for a console?
