Coming This Week on Digital Foundry (Week 4, 2023) (Patreon)
Content
Hi everyone, it's Rich at the keyboard with the latest update from Digital Foundry. A little late (again) on this one as it was all hands on deck to get the Forspoken content out of the door along with the various levels of associated admin.
A video is uploaded to three different platforms (YouTube, digitalfoundry.net (twice) and Eurogamer's on-site player), then there's the tweetvid for Twitter and the not inconsiderable effort of making the videos work as articles on Eurogamer.
Any way, here's what's going on this week:
* Rich (ie me) is attempting to complete the GeForce Now 4080 review. This is proving somewhat challenging as access to the servers is now no longer guaranteed. I seem to have a five percent chance of getting one, which is problematic when I require a ton of b-roll and other material (latency tests and performance tests are done). Let's see what we can do eh?
* John will be tackling the main feature review for Dead Space Remake. And yes, we're all excited about that!
* Oliver is finishing off his look at every single Xbox Series S game to feature hardware-accelerated ray tracing and will then be moving onto the multi-platform breakdown for the Dead Space Remake.
* Alex will be tackling Forspoken on PC, though access to that is launch day only, unfortunately, meaning work starts tomorrow! PS5-quality settings across the three presets isn't exactly working out as an optimal experience, so we'll be looking at the game in a slightly different way than usual.
* Tom looks likely to tackle the DualSense Edge review, but we'll see! He's got a couple of days off for now.
As usual, if you have any content suggestions or if you think we've missed any games you feel we should be covering, do let me know! For retro tier supporters, you should expect to see the new DF Retro Play this week, with John this time teaming up with Marc from My Life in Gaming to check out that one.
Have a great week!
