Hi everyone, the weekly Digital Foundry content meeting has been and gone and it's time to clue you in on what is happening! The Saints Row embargo has now lifted, the content should be available for you as we speak, which also means I can now post this update. With seven different performance modes on PS5 and Xbox Series X, this one took a lot of testing. Thankfully, Series S only has the one mode.

The Saints Row embargo lifting today means that the public release of DF Direct Weekly #75 falls back to tomorrow... not that this will be a problem to any of you on early access!

* Tom, having now completed Saints Row, moves onto another piece of embargoed content - but is there any appetite for Saints Row coverage on the last-gen consoles? It's a fascinating release for sure and we have no idea how it lands on older machines.

* John is now working at maximum warp on his The Last of Us Part 1 tech review, which we'll be posting on August 31st at 4pm UK time.

* Oliver is finishing up his piece on Switch's blurriest games and he's now starting work on a secondary TLOU piece, which will be focusing more on performance up against prior versions of the game.

* Rich (ie me) spent the weekend building up the new test rig for PC benchmarking based on a Core i9 12900K with 6000MT/s DDR5 from GSkill. This system mirrors the one Will has just built himself. First order of business? A look at Marvel's Spider-Man on optimised settings on key hardware. After that? Intel Arc A380 - initial results are in this week's Direct and they raise more questions than answers really. I want to dig into this one!

* Alex was not present at the content meeting, since his flight back from vacation was delayed. But what we are doing for sure is editing the interview transcript of his chat with Nixxes. He also has a big project bubbling under. Hopefully we can talk about this soon!

* Will kicks off the week on support duty, bringing together the various feedback we've had on the new digitalfoundry.net before taking it to the tech team. He'll also be supporting us in getting our Eurogamer articles out in a timely manner, starting with Saints Row.

We'll be standing ready to pivot in the wake of any senses-shattering revelations from Gamescom 2022, but thus far, I'm not expecting any world-changing reveals... but stand ready to be corrected. Have a great week!

Would you be able to publish these posts on your website too in some form of news feed?

That Dark Alliance II mention a few weeks back was intriguing. Is that still a possibility to look at?

Since Saints Row, performance is kinda bad, I wonder how it runs on the last gen consoles. Since the game was developed with the last-gen console in mind and then scale up.
