Just speculation, but could it might be that the game looks outdated because it literally is?; could maybe the basis for this game have been created years ago?; maybe canned/cancelled/or being in development hell, and that the main development was picked up after a few years, which produced the result we can see here? Maybe the foundation that was build years ago was just impossible or too costly to bring up-to-date with todays' technical standards?

Has anyone looked at the PC port? I’ve been running 4K60 max settings and it’s been a pretty good experience. I couldn’t get the 120 mode to run smooth and look decent at the same time, however.

Same I finished it and only had three crashes but it works.
