Coming this week on Digital Foundry (Week 43, 2021) (Patreon)
Content
Hi everyone, Rich here. Sorry - once again! - for the delay in getting this post out. Yes, there was actually a London-based press event yesterday I had to go to and time was of the essence, to the point where I was actually putting the Direct live and tweeting about it in the middle of a presentation. You'll learn more about what that was all about along with some of the other visits I've done recently next week.
So, what's cooking this week? We've got John taking a well-earned break but after Audi's recent visit to his retro lair, there's plenty of DF Retro content 'banked' and you'll be seeing the first of it on Sunday as the next DF Retro Play goes live to retro tier supporters and that means that the current DFRP goes public - it's a look at a trio of N64 space racers: WipEout 64, Extreme-G and Aero Gauge. Audi is also lining up a C64-themed livestream for this week.
Other stuff?
* Alex's Age of Empires 4 review should be going live today, and there's a good chance he'll be involved in some Halo Infinite campaign analysis too.
* Tom is going to be looking at Guardians of the Galaxy and his Diablo 2 analysis is on early access now, likely going public tomorrow. He'll also be joining us for DF Direct Weekly!
* Rich (ie me) - not sure anything I'm working on will be going public this week beyond the usual DF Direct Weekly, but all hell breaks loose next week!
* We're likely to be going live with our first full contributor video! We were lucky enough to receive an application from an experienced gamer and video editor. I'm still working through other contributor emails, by the way.
Bearing in mind the buzz surrounding various hardware and software launches coming soon, it shouldn't take too much of your imagination to fill in some of the blanks here, so expect a slightly slower than usual week before some pretty epic stuff coming soon after.
Thanks once again for your support!
