Coming this week on Digital Foundry (Week 37, 2021) (Patreon)

Hi everyone, Rich here with your weekly update on what's happening here at Digital Foundry. Again, it's the summer, there are people on vacation, so we'll be trying our best to keep you entertained but please understand if things are delayed. But without further ado, let's get into it.

* Rich (ie me) is going to be reviewing the PlayStation 5 CFI-1100 model and I'm really really happy to confirm that we're looking to hook up with Steve at Gamers Nexus to ensure all the right data is out there in terms of the controversial thermals. This may mean that the content is late as essentially the work is done in series, not parallel, but ultimately this is about sharing our views on the new unit and ensuring that the data is sound. 

* Depending on how the above works out, Rich will also be looking at the AC Odyssey 60fps upgrade.

* John is working on the next full DF Retro episode, which should debut on Sunday. I'm excited about this one because I love the series in question and actually suggested this on an old Direct.

* Tom is on vacation, but his huge piece on remote streaming services (Parsec, Teamviewer etc) should be going live soon. To be clear, this is a sponsored video, but we were given the remit to independently test all of these programs and apps. The end results are intriguing, covering off remote working and gaming.

* Alex is looking at a ray traced version of Serious Sam! After that, he will be moving onto The Medium for PS5 - assuming that the RT patch is available.

* Will is also on vacation.

In addition to Direct duties, Audi is working on the next Retro Corner, will be delivering a Street Fighter livestream and an interview with LucasArts' Wilbert Roget. For DF Premium supporters, expect another Classic FPS Remaster and once the gigantic upload is complete, I will be sharing our compiled build of the UE5 Valley of the Ancients demo along with some info on customising resolution and TAA upscaling.
