Hi everyone, Rich here. We actually delivered the first part of this when we relaunched the Patreon as the DF Supporter Program, and now we can round off the set with the second gameplay video.

Just to recap, Lance McDonald produced a patch for the PS4 version of Bloodborne that essentially unlocked the frame-rate and tweaked physics and other factors so that they worked correctly at 60fps. He did this - ingeniously - by reverse-engineering the Dark Souls 3 PS4 Pro patch and injecting some of the changes made there into Bloodborne. However, there was no actual Pro support meaning limited GPU power while at the same time,  the CPU grunt wasn't there to sustain 60fps.

A while later we were approached with footage showing McDonald's patch running on a PS5 test kit under backwards compatibility. With extra GPU and CPU power, 1080p60 was finally delivered. And we enhanced that with some AI upscaling because... well, because we could. We had a bunch of footage that was used for the original edit and here you get to see the raw captures both at 1080p and 4K AI upscaled.
