Hey everyone, we've already used this footage as the basis of a PC vs Xbox vs Xbox One X comparison, but if you just want to see the raw ultra HD gameplay on Microsoft's new console, we've got you covered with this download.

It's a pretty big file mind you, and an interesting example of how HEVC doesn't always halve file-sizes. In this case, the fast 60fps action and the rich level of detail make compression efficiencies vs h.264 very difficult to find, so the video reduces in size by just 19 per cent.

The kicker is that this file took around one hour 45 minutes to encode on an eight-core i7 5960X overclocked to 4.0GHz. Thanks to assists from Intel and AMD we'll be upgrading our systems with i9 and Threadripper soon, which should cut those figures down somewhat!

In the meantime, enjoy the video. More exclusive content is en route. For now, just a quick reminder that all the Patreon exclusive stuff is available here: https://www.digitalfoundry.net/browse/patreon-exclusive

Digital Foundry I watched your recent video on YouTube labeled Xbox One X Backwards Compatibility Tested: How are your Xbox One games improved and I was wondering if in a future video you could look at a Ubisoft game that is not getting X enhancements and that would be Rainbow Six Siege
