God, not only did Tears of the Kingdom come out, but I also played a good bit of the Street Fighter 6 open beta and jesus CHRIST I am in LOVE with that game. Everything about SF6 from its presentation to its mechanics, it's the most excited I've been about Street Fighter or hell, ANY fighter in years. Even just simply being in the battle hub, the absolute BEST fighting game lobby I've seen since maybe DoA4, just brings me so much joy with its music and retro games and everyone's weird monstrous avatar characters. I played a lot of Kimberly and god, it just feels so good to play. There's DNA of all of the previous SFs best mechanics brewed into one solid ass fighter, not overwhelming in its complexity but not feeling dumbed down either. I've never been good at fighters despite my love of them, but the game just does such a good job of not only playing well, but encouraging you to engage with it more. Even though it's only going to be 2 more weeks until the full game comes out, the wait is going to feel so long.
