So, this might be a sad page, but it was actually a lot of fun for Leslie to draw and especially color. We've actually been watching Dragonball Z lately, starting from the Raditz saga (not DBZ Kai either, just the dubbed original version on Funimation Now). I grew up watching DBZ all the way up until the Android Saga, but Leslie's never watched DBZ at all, being more of a Cardcaptor Sakura/Tenchi Muyo fan. She's really liking it! She keeps telling me how stupidly invested she's into the drama and the characters. It helps that the dub is good and the early seasons of Dragonball Z still have some cuteness and quirkiness carried over from the original series that really makes the world stick out among its imitators (dinosaurs, weird bubble cities, animal characters, Lunch). The shading in this page, especially that second-to-last panel, was inspired by DBZ's early, sketchy look and hard-shading. I think it came out looking fantastic. It's neat where sudden bursts of art inspiration can come from, even for a porn comic!
