So, I thought you guys would be interested to know that recently, I (Brad) took up a management job at Slipshine! I'll be in charge of scheduling, maintaining the website, communicating with artists, editorial duties, and social media, as well as writing two additional comics for Slipshine (Play with Me and Demon's Layer).
Sound like a lot? Don't worry, it really isn't. Truthfully, I started this job three days ago, and in that time, I've dug out 82 missing chapters lost within Slipshine's 3,000+ page archive, I've worked with a tech to restore waay too many broken links and images as well as fix and enable a tagging system to better organize the comics, as well as write descriptions for a good chunk of the available comics. The hardest parts are basically done now, and the rest will only take up the occasional odd hour throughout the week.
Don't worry, this won't eat up any time at all from Rock Cocks. The reason I'm able to even take the job in the first place is because all I do is write Rock Cocks. I already have a bunch of pages written in advance, and it only takes me a couple days to knock out 20+ pages. Leslie's completely unaffected by this, she'll still be working on Rock Cocks same as always. This is strictly my own solo venture, a little bit of extra work I'm picking up. Rock Cocks and this Patreon will continue completely unaffected (especially since Slipshine kinda depends on Rock Cocks continually updating).
So, why am I taking up this extra work? Because honestly, before I joined, Slipshine was a mess. With the previous owner stepping down, the site was handed down to a staff of two people who were (understandably) way too busy running their own comics and other websites. Comics kept updating and creators got paid, but the staff had no time to do anything else. Stuff stayed broken on the site for years, stuff that was easy to fix but nobody had the time to devote to it. Personally, I love the concept of Slipshine and I want it to succeed. Slipshine was the entire reason Rock Cocks began in the first place and never would have initially happened without their support, so I have a bit of loyalty to the site. My hope is that if I can turn it around, I can give that support to new up-and-coming adult comics. I want to kickstart other people's pornographic creations and give them a home so that EVERYONE can have more great adult comics. Just like Rock Cocks, I'm hoping we can get some more erotic long-form comics going from other bright-eyed, lewd-ass creators like us. The world needs more adult comics, don't you think?
Anyways, sorry for the long-ass post. Don't worry, I won't pressure you guys into subscribing to Slipshine. You already do so much by supporting us. But if you ever want more porn comics (and an archival system that actually fucking works now), then I happily endorse it with extreme bias.
See you on Wednesday!
