What happened with the God Of War song? (Patreon)

So obviously some of ye are wondering why the new song was uploaded, deleted, uploaded again then deleted again and now finally re-uploaded yet again. Geez... 

Long story short, it was a mix of things - both a communication error between myself & my video guy which ended up with the wrong version of the song in the video and then me realising too late that I wasn't happy with the 'finished' mix either. 

It's not always straightforward & easy doing everything by myself - writing, playing, producing, mixing, mastering... Sometimes I’ll think something is ok/finished and later realize it isn't when I hear it with fresh ears.

It's all small mix details (listed below) but having a song out that was flawed that way would have annoyed me forever. And yes, I realize I'm neurotic - I won’t even call it ‘perfectionism’ because my work is far from perfect. It’s more an intense obsession & compulsion to make the best version of things I can make at that moment in time. You guys deserve the best I can give you. 

So - I deleted everything & started to make some final tweaks – at which point my music software & PC decided they wanted to start crashing all day long. After one of the most frustrating, rage inducing 2 days of my career, I've now fixed it as best I can, to a point where I'm happy with it.

Vocals: Volume automation adjustments

Snare drum: Volume & EQ adjustments. More snap & crack added. Bigger reverb added to imply size & space. 

Kick drum: Volume & EQ adjustments.

Drum kit: Some minor drum & cymbal patterns changed to fit the guitar patterns better.  Room mics channel volume up.

Guitars: Attenuated some muddy mid frequencies & high mid ringing. Added more clarity in the high end.

Orchestra & Choir: Minor volume automation adjustments.
