There’s a great episode of ‘You’re Wrong About’ podcast about this story (released in Oct 2022), and it touches on the further aftermath of the rescue, so I would recommend a listen to that episode for some of that. But basically, it was not all great for the survivors, after the reality of their survival was revealed.

Jeff’s anime journey continues!! I will add onto my recommendation of Cells at Work! last week by mentioning Keep Your Hands off Eizouken! 1 season of 26 episodes about 3 high school students who secretly create an anime production club in their high school. Wonderful slice of life anime that gives a high level explanation of how the sausage is made and features UNREAL moments of high quality, creative animation.

Correction for Jeff: the Lions aren’t the only team around since the merger that haven’t been to the Super Bowl. The Cleveland Browns have not, either.
