I love the idea of a Kindle, but the last Kindle Fire I bought was such a piece of garbage I threw it away and never looked back. Maybe I had too many apps or something loaded on it but it was constantly crashing and freezing

After listening to Jeff talk about his Kindle I rushed out and bought an ereader for myself. But since I'm in Canada, I ended up getting a Kobo Libra 2 instead. In Canada you can get ebooks for free from public libraries for your Kobo via Overdrive or Libby. (Unfortunately I think for Kindles, Overdrive isn't supported in Canada). I also am a big Pocket user, which Kobo also supports. Kobo devices also support epub and pdfs so you can sideload stuff for free.
