As someone who's been avidly following Östlund's career here in Sweden I can't help to enjoy him being brought up (and hearing people try and pronounce his name) and if you guys haven't seen his earlier films I cannot recommend them enough. Invoulountary and Play especially, if you can get your hands on them, are in my opinion his best films.

Gents, I find the radio tower/station as a nod to John Carpenter’s ‘The Fog’ where the underrated Adrienne Barbeau plays a radio DJ forecasting the evil coming to her city. I think it’s supposed to be viewed as an homage the the great filmmaker.
