Adding a little One Night in Miami trivia, regarding the talk about casting Nicolette Robinson (Leslie Odom Jr.’s wife) as Barbara Cooke: That scene was supposed to be filmed in LA shortly after principal photography in New Orleans wrapped in February, but because of the pandemic, it got pushed back several months. The original actress dropped out and Robinson was cast in the role because she was already in Odom’s bubble.
