December Plans & Style Poll
- Rough style 1
- Detailed style 14
- I like both styles 5
Hi everyone,
The resurrection of Mythos Maps took of bit slowly, but this was largely because of #mapvember and me founding a new RPG publishing company, Ironspine Press, with a few of my friends. Mapvember is over now and we have everything set up for Ironspine, and I'm getting a bit more help starting January, so I expect things to speed up soon.
In November I published only one map, The Esoteric Bookstore, and that was also a bit experimental map where I wanted to test a bit rougher hand-drawn look. This month I have plans for at least two new releases – one detailed battlemap and one less-detailed building plan.
In an old poll, an insane asylum and abandoned factory ranked quite high, so these are something I'm planning to do, but ideas, suggestions and wishes are always welcome. Please, comment below if you have some specific themes, locations, or topics for maps you would like to see. Thanks!
I'm working on some new assets to make a functional asset pack for creating and customizing mythos maps. I need to add some missing textures and this should be in order. I expect the first releases to be out by the end of the month.
With the latest Foundry version there was some changes to compendium and I'm updating all old modules to v10.
There is going to be a change in the module distribution as well. Manifest links for new modules will be posted as Patreon direct messages to all active Keeper tier patrons.
Now, I mentioned about the style test I did with my latest map. I'm interested in your opinion about the style and which style would you prefer. I can see both styles having their pros and cons, and it's not out of the question to use both styles depending on the map, but it would help me to know if either one is far more popular than the other.
Here are style examples for reference:
