Yellow Royal Hotel Plan (Patreon)

Yellow Royal Hotel is a fairly new hotel located in a fairly busy part of the town close to nightlife. Actually, the hotel has a small bar that offers live music and food in the late evenings. 

While Yellow Royal Hotel looks like any other hotel, it has a dark secret. It is only a front for a cult that kidnaps hotel and nightclub customers to sacrifice them to their insane god. 

About This Map

This map is inspired by the terrible story of "Murder Castle". A custom-built hotel ran by a serial killer H.H. Holmes in the late 19th century. While this hotel has nothing to do with the case of the real Murder Castle, some ideas were taken from it. 

The hotel has several hidden stairways, hatches, and secret doors that make it possible for the cultists to move around the hotel without notice and to ambush their victims while they are sleeping or taking a bath. 

The basement has the cult temple and a crematorium for the disposal of the bodies. 

Map Variants

This hotel plan has three floor plans: ground floor, basement, and bedroom floor, which is designed so that it can be multiplied as many times as needed. 

Each floor has a version without labels cut for VTT use, a player version with labels and a keeper version with labels. 

Cultists have access to the VTT maps, Investigators get also the player maps, and keepers get also the labeled keeper maps. 

Story Arc Plans

This story arc is not quite yet done. I'm still planning to do a few battle maps of different hotel locations (e.g. cult temple/ basement, deluxe suite, back alley, and cáfe). I also plan to write a short system-agnostic scenario to wrap all the maps together. Also, a Foundry VTT version of the maps is coming soon (sorry, could not make it happen with this release).
