How are you doing my beautiful people?

Another week… Another update.
I don’t have much to say. Watched “The Legend of Vox Machina” and it is sublime.

I don’t know about you, but despite my numbers of subscriber being stable, the inflation as been kicking my ass lately. I could raise my prices I guess, but I don’t want to add to your burden, so I'm thinking about taking a few commissions instead. That said, before I reopen shop, I want to know what you guys think about it.

The reason I’m almost never taking any is because of My patreon that (until really recently) was enough to pay the bills. Commissions, in those conditions, always felt like double dipping for me. You guys are already supporting me, why would I charge someone to draw something than? I’m not sure if makes sense, but it felt wrong.

My question is: Do you guys even care about that part? Does it make any difference if I get pay for a particular pic? Is getting access to the picture enough for you anyway?

Please tell me what you guys think in the comments.

I’m already working on a new picture for you. I should post it later today. So…
See you guys really soon!

I don't think there's any harm in offering your campaign and commissions both, as long as you don't burn yourself out on the work. I, for one, would love to commission a piece from you, should you decide to do so...

Ditto Todd.

Yeah, go right ahead with taking on commissions mate. I'm just happy to see whatever you put out, commissioned or otherwise.

I personally feel the agreement I have with you is a good example of a well balanced situation: you do the commissioned work and your patrons benefit from it. Maybe private commissions could be a bit more upsetting to your monthly supporters, so I’d avoid that. But it’s your call. However you decide, I’ll stay around. 😉

I think what most people have said. No harm offering. Can always stop when it feels like it's too much. On another note, saw a trailer for The Legend of Vox Machina and looks like a lot of fun. Will have to give it a watch :D

Personally, I like it when you have commissions open. I do feel the prices can be a bit steep. If people are willing to pay though, then there's nothing wrong with it. I mean hell I've done it before and probably wouldn't mind doing it again. Lol

So long as you share them with us and it's reasonably on-brand I don't mind a bit. From where I am sitting, you were gonna draw something anyway but you decided to make money by letting someone else pick the topic. As long as you run a poll or accept suggestions once in a while so I feel like my voice has the possibility of being heard now and again I'm fine with the bulk of your drawings being commissioned. I do ask that you discourage unshareable commissions. I know in the past you did so by charging a premium, and I think that's a great idea since most people would rather pay less and share it.

Oh, “The Legend of Vox Machina” is just great, I was impressed. As for commissions, I think you should do as you see fit.

You have to pay the bills so I don't have any issues with you taking on commissions. In the same way I wouldn't have any problem with you working in an office as a day job - what business would that be of mine or anybody else's? If you get to share the commissions on top then great, something different and more variety.

Do what you gotta do. Obviously if taking on commissions starts to impact your subscriber revenue, you need to run the numbers to see the affect on your net income (including goodwill, brand, etc.), but ultimately it's all your choice.
