Sorry I disappeared on you after introducing you to Metrinome Alpha. The lack of sleep is getting to me. They are still working on my bathroom (posing ceramic took more time than I was expecting) and I only had a few hours of sleep every night (insomnia is a close friend of mine).  I’m just completely out of energy.

The good news is, there’s only 1 guy here today and he tells me it should be completed later today. Can’t wait to take a long hot shower and sleep without a care :P

I’ll try to make it up to you guys by working over the weekend.

No worries, must be a bit awkward. I subscribed to Metrinome Alpha after the suggestion but that sort of content definitely isn't for me as it's mostly about rape, bloodlust and snuff at least that's all I could see. 🤨 Plus the none of the actual content seems to reflect the style of drawing in the picture you'd shown.

Weird, I didn't see anything like that outside of the little bit of blood in the vampire comic (blood isn't my thing either), but I haven't got though all their stuff yet. That sketch is different from their usual stuff for sure. I just LOVED it so much, I wanted to show it to you guys. He or she ( I didn't asked ) is jumping from style to style, sometime in the same piece, but as we talked under my post about them, they are still kindda searching for their own artist identity. It's pretty common among artists that are starting their careers or have spent a lot of time mimicking other artist's style ( it often goes hand in hand with starting a new carrer). But they have talents for sure.

ok... so I took the time to go through to all their stuff... you are right that it's a lot more rapy than I would like. that said, I didn't see any gore or snuff

Maybe I just clicked on the the wrong bits. I didn't follow the stories though but there were quite a few snuff related comments like it was the norm/expected but maybe that was just from the comments and it doesn't actually happen. Anyway, just not for me.

Hey, thanks for checking it out. Yeah, there were comments asking for snuff, which I didn’t expect. The vampire themed stuff was more about erotic blood lust, never meant to be gore. I do have a client asking for more bloody stuff, but I’m considering moving it to a different channel or discontinuing that project altogether. Thanks again for checking it out. Overall, I’m slowly making a transition away from the darker content as it’s no longer that fulfilling for me as an artist.

I hear you, guys. I’ve been slowly moving away from that content as I’m no longer working on commissions as much and can do the kind of art that I really like, which is not as dark, much more accessible, closer to what Alx does, I think. Thanks for checking it out.

I hear you. When I first started commissioning, I didn't have any limits. My philosophy was: If it's all fake, it's all good. But I quickly discovered that fantasy can go way too dark for my taste. I was working on a pack of commission about bondage when I went way further that I imagined (my idea no less) and freaked myself out of drawing smut for a week or so. After that, I had a long introspection to decide what I was really comfortable with. And even then, from time to time, I get a request that make me realize I still have limits to discover. I also had to take my distance from some stuff when my name was becoming synonyms whit it while, for me, it was just a fringe kink I enjoy from time to time. And that was BEFORE the patreon crack down.

Same. Some of the stuff your friend is referencing are things I kind of regret drawing, way back when I was really drawing anything to make money and build any fanbase. But similarly i feel like it's been making me feel icky to look back on it. I mean it's fine, it's there, I'm not erasing it, but it's wearing down on my soul a bit.

Interesting can of worms I've accidentally opened. I wasn't trying to shame anyone, as far as tastes go if it's not hurting anyone else then I respect other peoples right to like what they like really on the whole. But a lot of it just isn't for me. I know a huge number of people love horror films for instance and I really don't have any interest in them. I've not seen anything in Alx's work that's made me uncomfortable, it all comes across as just fun. I'm sure there will be content in the Hogwarts comic that some people won't like for instance but I really liked that one. 🤷‍♂️ I'll have another look at the library as perhaps I just caught the wrong bits and lumped it all together.

Just as an aside, I wouldn't come to your channel @Metrinome_Alpha and then just post saying I didn't like it, that's a pointless interaction for everyone, if you don't like it don't look/watch/subscribe. I know some people these days go out of their way to tell creators of any type how much they don't like what they're doing... well, don't keep watching it then! I only really fed back to Alx as I think there's probably an expectation from most? people that if the channel owner suggests another creator, the content is going to be in a similar sort of vein and what I looked at was quite different I guess.

don't worry about it ^^ your post was fine and the discussion was worth it. and I 100% agree with you saying that someone should never go out of their way to say to someone that they disagree with their stuff. That said, while in this case I do see a lot of thing in common between me and Metrinome Alpha , I like a lots of different things, and I think it is worthwhile to explore different thing. so if I suggest an artist once in a while, don't expect him or her to create stuff similar to mine. 90% of the time, it won't be... it's probably going to be smutt, but that's about it Thank you for your initial post.

lol it went well. I was just really tired of washing out in the kitchen sink and the lack of sleep didn't help. But as repair go, it went well, and the guys where very friendly. It was a bit noisy and went a bit longer than expected but the results where worth it.

Hey Mark, sorry I never got notifications on this response you posted a while back. I’m not bothered by what you say at all, in fact it gave me a good idea. I’ve basically decided that the darker content I’ve drawn is being moved to a separate account on another platform, for those minority of fans that really enjoy it, and keeping my patreon for lighter, fun stuff like I’ve been posting recently. That Hermione pic you liked it probably going to become a patreon exclusive comic since it got me so much attention. Hope you check it out sometime! Thanks again for your input.
