Where I am from, Captain Flam was HUGE. If you are around my age, you only have to hum the first line of the them song to get the whole room singing, and I ADORED it. I remember drawing the character of the professor Simon on everything, even though I didn't have cable so only watched a few episodes here and there. I finally got the watch the whole series around 3 years ago and was BLOWN AWAY by the quality of the writing and the continuity. It was on the same level as The Mysterious City of gold and way ahead of it's time for a kid show.

Hope you guys dig it!

Deep down I feel like I know this series/character but I can't remember it for the life of me. That being said, the art is excellent that it's enjoyable either way :p

Beautiful work!

Another one I've never even heard about. But that looks like one hell of a kids show. ;-)

So true. That was one of my first Cartoon shows and it was awesome. So many fond memories. Only critic I have is that we only got the censored version here :(

The german Version removed a lot of content that was thought "not for kids". Every Story was shortened from 4 parts to only 3. It Made the Story a bit uneven but my 6 year old self didn't care^^

Apparently this is based on a 1940's pulp science fiction series called 'Captain Future'. This was adapted into an Anime by Toei Animation in 1978, hence the familiar visual style. This Anime was then dubbed and released in French speaking countries in the 1980's as 'Capitaine Flam'. People looking for the anime can find it still under 'Captain Future'. There are also a whole bunch of different soundtracks for the show.
