Weekly Update (Patreon)

How are you doing beautiful people?

I had an underwhelming week, as you guys know, I was starting to feel unmotivated to work. It happens from time to time. At the moment, I believe isolation and the idea of spending the coming ( ho so boring ) Christmas alone is making it worst. Funny thing is, usually, the idea of seeing the whole family is pretty stressful, but I still love them and the last time I saw any of them is last Christmas… so, it’s been a long year.

That said, the little “Under the Mistletoe” project has awoken my mojo up. I’ve already drew the first one and started to plan the next one. I’m considering turning it into some sort of advent calendar for the holydays. Either a weekly thing where  I would release 1 pic a week until until January first or for the 5 days before Christmas. Not sure yet. What do you guys think?

I spent 10h on a background for the series on Saturday, which I ended up throwing away because the end result was just absolutely horrible. It was dark and messy and confusing. I spent most of those 10 hours trying to fix it before finally giving up on it. Funny thing is, it took me about 1 hour 30 min to make a new one on the next day, which has the same spirit but is al lot more simple and SO MUCH better. I guess I learned what not to do on that first try :P

The Comic

I just completed the line work for page 5 of the comic. Honestly, not my best work ever. But I did the best I could, and I’m sure it will look great once I’m done with the colors, which I will start working on after diner. I’m again aiming for 2 pages this week considering how far ahead I am already on page 5. Giving that a page usually takes me around 2 1/2 days, it feel possible to do that more often, but really it’s not. I learned that the hard way :P AS I said before: as long as it's moving foward, I am happy!
