Our Game of the Year category awards! (Patreon)

Hey folks! We hope you all have had a wonderful holiday season and are currently enjoying plenty of delicious leftovers!

This post is just a friendly reminder that we'll be streaming our Game of the Year category awards show tomorrow (Thursday, December 29th) at 12pm Pacific / 3pm Eastern / 8pm UK time! We'll be following up this post with a stream link closer to showtime.

Separately from each GVG crew member's individual Top 3 Games of the Year videos, which have been going up on the channel daily from Monday, we're all getting together to discuss our picks for the top game in the following seven categories chosen by yours truly:

- Best visuals (can be technical, art style, or both)
- Best soundtrack (original music only, no licensed soundtracks)
- Best story/narrative
- Favorite new character of 2022
- The Backlog Award: Best game you played that didn't come out in 2022
- The Good Vibes Award: The game that made you feel the most warm fuzzies this year
- Most anticipated 2023 release (must have a confirmed release date or period, not speculative)
