this is an awesome video brandon. people always think i'm stupid for this but for a long time now i've made it a point to stubbornly tough it out through games to the end, and even though often times i end up raging out because of awkward stealth mechanics or weird difficulty balance or whatever, i also have never regretted it. sure it may be dumb for me to put up with stuff that i'm strongly disliking for a long time, but i've also experienced so many genuinely awesome games by learning how to look past that stuff and carry on. i've learned a lot about game design and what does and doesn't work. and more often than not sticking it through has always at the very least given me a good memorable experience. hopefully this helps more people stick stuff out, since at the very least you'll learn something. thanks for making this i finally feel slightly less dumb for being such a stubborn mule lol

This is a great video! Definitely advice for anyone interested in video games to take to heart. Sometimes you might just be having an off day and game you pick might not be right for you at that time but that doesn't mean you can't come back to it and see if you really like it or not. A recent example of this for me is Omori. For some reason it just didn't resonate with me right away. Played a few hours and then just stopped and moved on. I was intrigued by the story but bored for some reason with gameplay. Came back to it some time later and suddenly I was having a blast and hooked on the gameplay and couldn't put it down until the end. Now it's one of my all time favorite games. Always give games a second chance even if you think you won't like it. Might surprise ya. Fantastic video Brandon!
