New SOOTH update! Sorry if you're bored of the Stay out of the House stuff but getting the game finished and released is the top priority. It's actually getting close.

Luckily a new game and some big surprises are dropping in May. I don't think anyone will be disappointed in what's coming up.

DOWNLOAD

Photo Mode added

  • Press 'P' during gameplay (Night Shift, Prologue, Main Game) and you'll enter Photo Mode (this will *not* work if you try it during a cutscene, or puzzle sequence)
  • Camera detaches and you'll be able to take photos, which are saved in a folder on your computer
  • Can manipulate camera effects for your photos
  • Photo mode camera has a limited range, so you can only fly around near the player's origin point

Gun Improvements

  • The gun now has a dynamic crosshair that shows you exactly where the gun will shoot
  • Accuracy/recoil of the gun is now effected by the player's state (ie: walking, running, crouching, jumping, being still)

Victim system adjustments

  • Some new (and likely temporary) victims have been added
  • Some bugs related to the victim animations have been fixed
  • The Butcher can cause multiple victims to panic at once, if he sees them
  • Victims are integrated into the shadow/stealth system, so if they are in the dark, the Butcher won't see them as easily
  • Victims' mouths will move when they talk to you
  • Victims can follow you outside if you escape the house, though they do not currently have an effect on this sequence of the game

Question: if I watch gameplay of this from November of 2018, will that spoil this game for me, even if I only plan on playing the very final version?

For Night Shift, it bugs alot to the point where people walk in and i just can't talk to them, it softlocks. Sometimes the chores i do don't count despite me finishing them. But the game is really fun

noticed the Butcher dude is much less reactive in this update. He doesn't react to the alarm clock, he doesn't react to gunshots, and he doesn't react to the grandfather clock chimes. He also doesn't always (actually ever so far in this update) appear in the kitchen as you go through that first vent on the left during that "cutscene" when the camera static plays, but maybe you just removed that part. otherwise love the updates!

Night shift can be buggy, one annoying bug is when you change the camera mode and stuff the yellow wording will stay on screen

Hey I don’t know if anyone else is having this problem but on the second day in the house after I go to open the door where he keeps the players stuff and unlock it, the final day when I go to unlock the door again the padlock gets glitched and I can’t open the door and get my stuff

My stamina bar ran out for the escape ending so he killed me. Bug?

I'm not bored of Stay Out of the House stuff! I've been holding off until 1.0! I can see that you've grown tired of working on it, which is very understandable. Because of that, is it going to be a while until it's ready?
