Spiders 0.3.1 Update (Patreon)

0.3.1 is up and a critical update. There was a pretty major bug in the game where the hitboxes of the dead spiders were never toggled off. Meaning you couldn't hit any live spiders behind the dead ones making the game pretty much impossible. 

If the game seemed unwinnable before, check out the new version. You should be able to get a lot farther. It's also a lot more fun.

It's been fixed. along with some other improvements like controller support in game, face gore, Grindhouse mode, and more. Check it out

I'm expecting a final update after this with more menu options and better controller support (at the moment, controllers work during gameplay but not on the menus, which is a lot more time consuming to implement)

I'd love to do a Spiders 2 at some point, but the game hasn't yet been a major success. Let me know if you'd like to see another one of these some day. What I have in mind

Some new weapons: super shotgun, grenades, insecticide

New levels and characters. Kind of an ensemble piece where you play as different characters during the spider invasion. The horde style gameplay would stay the same, but you defend some new locations: apartment, two story house, a store, a flatbed truck level, outside level, police station, etc.

New types of spiders

and most importantly Co-op. I haven't done any multiplayer games yet, so this would probably be the most time consuming part.
