Thought I was done after bug testing, did several playthroughs, and I just didn't find the Ai scary enough. So I've been reworking things, adding a few features and making some changes in the killer's logic patterns.

Rather than go by my own judgement and release a game thats overly difficult like PDM, I actually want to do some playtesting this time if i'm unsure about something.

One of the things I've added is a panic meter while the killer is chasing you. You need to keep tapping the mouse button to run faster than him or you panic and slow down.

The goal is to tire you out like you would be if a killer actually chased you, well your finger at least. I feel like forcing the player to do physical activity raises the stakes and level of dread, forcing you to make smart choices to avoid encountering him again

But please let me know what you think of the difficultly. I personally think it's tough, but doable. It's a hard thing to balance because the tension is gone if it's too easy but impossible for some if it's too hard.

*one last thing to keep in mind, chases are probably less than 5% of the total game, so you won't be doing this constantly. The difficulty curve for tapping the panic meter gradually increases over time. This playtest is the hardest it'll get.

I personally thought it was fine and seemed to work really well.

This is one of the coolest mechanics I've seen for a horror game. but holy, that big rigs "youre winner" screen floored me

Do you need a consistent click? At the killers slowest speed and me clicking as fast as possible I can't make it to the first corner. Am I missing something or trying too hard?

Yes, you have to constantly click to escape while running. The clicking pace is pretty quick. Have you tried tapping with two fingers?
