Tatara's Principles - Friend (Patreon)

 Many artists don't talk about this that much out loud. As for me - I think it's better I let this out so people might understand me better.

So our word today is: "Friend"

 The fact that people comes to me "I wanna get to know you and wanna be FRIENDS" or calls me "a friend"... I don't like it. It makes my skin crawl.

Why? You see - the whole word "friend" I have my own principles for what "a friend" is to me. 

And to me... it means those who are REALLY close to me and would look out for me(and already have), like how my groom SuperiX and my friend Tyler(my bro from "another mother") does.

And those two people - are the closest people I got now. People who I really know well and who knows me well. Damn! They can read me like an open book. They can tell right away if something was up.

I know many of you say now "You can have more friend if we became friends". 

That's not the point.

Honestly - I don't need more. I only need few friends who I really trust. The rest of them... are just good pals or people I just have nice time talking. There is no that same type of deep connection with pals - than I have with friends.

So - when people start calling me "a friend"... out of nowhere. Randomly. I don't like it 'cause of my principles. And it makes me feel "two-ways" so to speak:

1. You don't just understand what the word means to me
2. It's just the difference between cultures. In your country it might be okay to call someone random "a friend" but in Finland... it just doesn't fit into a Finnish mentality.
OR
3. You are only after free art...

Number 3 is the worst situation and I know it isn't the case all the time - But there have been many experiences by many artists who have end up to this situation. After few chats... people start asking free art only cause they think you are now "friends". Nope! That is not how it works with most people/artists.

Plus - I don't consider people who I can't trust as friends.

The result:
I have different emotion about pals and friends. Also I have a clear line between fans and friends.

I finally wanted to let everyone know this - so people would understand why I'm not using that word and why I don't want to be called that by random people or people I don't know that well.
