Soft Engine - Why "Beta"? (Patreon)
Content
With the release of Gravure Studio 1.1, I've separately released a cheat table that can enable my soft engine configuration. I'm happy to see that, thus far, it's been well received.
You might be wondering however, why not implement it fully into Gravure Studio? Why the hassle of hooking a cheat engine table? The reason is quite simple: it's not really ready yet.
The new technology is exciting, and most of the time it looks great even in these early stages, but there is a problem. Thankfuly, I know how to fix the problem, but it's the kind of problem that is extremely, ungodly tedious to fix.
The physics engine and configuration is important, but equally important is the "rigging" of the models, and since the models weren't rigged for this new physics configuration, I'm going to have to revisit all 200 models I have made for Gravure Studio. It will be time consuming, but I believe it's worth it.
So basically, the breasts have weird deformations sometimes with soft engine, and I plan to fix that.
Left is old, right is new.
On top of that, I simply haven't rigged most costumes for this level of deformation, and some of them already have clipping problems even without soft engine due to my negligence. This will be a good time for me to do a once over on costumes, again, but to fix weighting.
So yes, this will be time consuming, and it will eat up my time on other things such as Gold member costume requests until it is finished. If I don't do this now it will create more work down the line as I have to revisit costumes, and I don't want to let hard tedious work get in the way of innovating the mod and making it better.
So sorry in advance for those of you who are still waiting for your requests to be fulfilled, but hopefully you understand why this is important.
