Content

This is going to change, the URL for sure at least!

This is a sneak peek of some "troubleshooting" content. I don't know if this content will be "evergreen" but I hope it is. There simply isn't a good guide on the internet for SMB Multichannel. It is plug-and-play most of the time, but when it isn't there simply isn't anything out there that explains how it works.

What's SMB Multichannel? This basically: Plug in 1/2/3/4 gigabit nics on your computers on your local network and "magically" you can copy files back and forth from your sever at doub/triple/quadruple speed. This works brilliantly if, for example, you have a 10 gigabit file server and client computers with 2-3-4 gigabit NICs. Gigaibit is too slow and 10 gigabit is still to expensive for "all" computers.

Most small and medium businesses, especially ones that shuttle big files around, should be running dual 1 gigabit on their workstations at this point.

At least windows shops.

Linus also struggled with it in his SMB Multichannel video and they had difficulty figuring out what, exactly, was going wrong. Only it worked "randomly"

I don't think this type of topic fits in a video, by itself, so we've written an article with example commands to explain it. I am curious what this does in terms of SEO and in terms of truly original content that is designed to address a specific (and common, because windows) problem in IT. I am curious if this type of content will generate interest and new followers.

The article is ready to go as well.
