This will go live sometime tomorrow. There will be a post on the forum that gives a little more context on why you would want to do this, and with a little more info about the machine we used, a Dell Optiplex 790 SFF.

This is a little sneak peek as a thank-you for our patrons at an unlisted YouTube link.

We're just going to make it public tomorrow when the forum post is ready.

Please note it may still be processing and not available at all resolutions.

Hey Wendell, this is a nicely condensed 'getting started' video. I got about 14 APU.1D4s deployed as firewalls and/or OpenVPN entpoints - works great, next to no issue in 3 years. Two minor points of criticism: Running too much add-on stuff on a router/ firewall (i.e. security infrastructure) shouldn't be advised imo ("ok" for learning purposes though). Next is 6:05 -- testing PCIe hotplugging? ;-) Gives me flashbacks of yanking out a graphics card back in the day. Poor ol' Matrox Millenium G400. RIP.

Great Video, just got 2 cisco ASA firewalls with snort licenses at work, makes my life so awesome!

I watched the last Pfsense video probably 30 times when setting up my firewall. Thanks for the updated build.

High quality stuff guys. If this is a view into what we can expect in the future the channel will become awesome. Great work, editing and overall just being awesome.

Great video. I have been toying with the idea of getting a pfSense box for some time. Looking at something like this http://www.mini-itx.com/build/JBC320 as it should be lighter on power. This video informed me of things I didn't know pfSense did. Thanks Wendell and the Level1 Techs team.

Great video. I really like the style you did it in,

I built a PFSense box out of a old Dell 531 desktop. It had a dead hard drive so I put in a 40Gb SSD I had at the house. Put in two Intel Gigabit NIC's. I wish it had more memory, 4Gb, but so fare it seems to be enough. Now I don't worry that my NetGear router/firewall isn't getting new updates.
