Been looking forward to this review - and thank you Snowblind for sending it to Wendell. It was actually my post on the forums that I think prompted this, maybe. So really nice to see how that happened. I was considering the LG version of this - same panel apparently but since then Dell has released their new 5K2K 40" at around the same price. It's on 60Hz but the resolution is much higher and iirc it has slightly more up to date connectivity. I'd have loved to see just a quick thought on what this would be like for productivity but I guess it's a gaming focused machine. It was useful just to see it in action and how big it is. It's huge.

Late on the reply, but in regards to productivity I can give you my thoughts.. I use this for more work than play lately, and it serves my purpose well. My typical setup is a large window in the middle, with two smaller windows flanking it on the left and right for most things. IE: Browser in the middle, email smaller on one side, and Signal chat on the other side. When programming I tend to do a 50/50 split on my IDE and browser windows. I specifically sought this resolution so that I could have two 1920px width windows side by side when programming. A second monitor would still be nice, but for me this works well without taking up as much room as multiple monitors. If you're using Windows, I would definitely recommend Power Toys' FancyZones to setup custom zones, and also use Windows virtual Desktops.
