The "Meth, We're On It" Campaign was from my home state of South Dakota. South Dakota has a history of creating public awareness campaigns' whose success is is gauged by how long the campaign can trend on social media. Being the 5th least populous state who has a small budget we tend to get creative with P.S.A. public awareness campaigns, outrageous = free reach and repropagacion. Another one of the most famous P.S.A. was "Don't Jerk And Drive." It got national coverage for the fact that overreacting to slippery conditions why driving causes cars to loose control of traction. http://www.cc.com/video-clips/f1t6yb/the-daily-show-with-jon-stewart-chitty-chitty-wank-wank. The most irksome P.S.A. ads to me are the surround sound radio car crash simulations telling me not to drink/text and drive. The car crash simulation ads have fooled me a few times into thinking I had genuinely gotten into an accident for a few seconds until I realized my car's trajectory had not changed and the thumping feeling was just a subwoofer sound effect. 😅
