This has been a long time in the making. We didn't quite finish in time with the Linux Channel video chaos today, but this is your preview of the weekend video.

I can count the beard hairs at that resolution. Anyway, very nicely explained, unfortunately I don't have anywhere to put a server closet at home :D Also, wrong text at 9:47? The same text is shown again at 10:29

Interesting video, thank you. Is there a fire detection/suppression system? If not in what conditions one should be installed?

its so cool to see the way one can build server closet. And i have an electrician education in Norway so its so cool to see how the US does the construction and the electrical wiring. When i hear the word rockwool i itch and i want to rather hug glava (competitor to rockwoll in Norway) . And the plastic tip is smart and in Norway its now common in all new private houses to use plastic to help isolate the houses. The metal electrical outlet that is shown in the ending is so nostalgic because i have only seen that types of electrical metal pipes behind walls in old house from the 50s to the 70s.

Hi Wendell I know this comment is a little late, but I wanted to thank you for posting the Server Room Video. And I hope you make some more like these sometime. I'm not sure if you do any outdoor work. My brother and I have been installing Wi-Fi for a local State Park Campground, and it's been doing "okay". Lighting strikes have been the biggest concern hehehe.... Your anecdotal stories hit home with what my brother and I have gone through in the 10 years he has done work. And they give me a big laugh while still delivering the important point at the end. I hope you add in a future video, or add to your personal knowledge in the future to install professionally an emergency flood detector that will send a sms-text + call and leave a voice message. I didn't think about this until a few days ago regrettably after my brothers incident :/ ---- With that said, here is my brother's recent run-in with water story if you wish to read it... My brother runs a very rural, computer Repair/Network Admin Business from the Owner's basement floor in Iowa. A pipe burst in the basement resulted in a foot of standing water on the ground. Thankfully there really wasn't much damage except cardboard boxes because he recently just finished all his work from taking a 3 day "vacation". The only reason for it not being more than that is due to him always working 7 days a week :( . I always feel bad for the Network Administrators who have to deal with the requirement of their electronics installed in high-risk situations. And regrettably, the Admins who are forced to work with the dummies that insist on having their equipment installed near pipes and other hazardous materials as well. Then when things do go sideways with employees that don't really care: Uh I didn't know that was going to happen! Can you get this fixed right away??? Well I can't work so I'm taking the rest of the day off! Good thing everyone on that floor is salary non-nonexempt. Am I right? /s So you end up pulling an all-niter after telling them putting equipment there was a poor decision. Sorry about the bible-thumping, and have a good rest of the weekend, -JB
