A good video on installing flex, and a bit less condescending, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvD5mjSWw1Y&t=335s

Those HDDs and the fan perfectly and professionally mounted. I'd also love to see you doing another video doing emby and what it can do. It always seems to be those two, but I have never used any of them. A comparison between the two would be appreciated :)

There is nothing wrong with only listening to Weird Al.

How safe is it to open firewall ports to access plex on the go, given freenas isn't really suited to be internet facing?

I would also watch bytemybits on YouTube. Jason has a lot of more Plex centric videos on how to get the most of Plex.

2023-01-03 12:43:39 I run unRAID but it's the same approach. Run a reverse proxy (for example with SSL built in). Options are Caddy, Traefik, NGINX + Letsencrypt, etc. Only forward port 80 & 443 to equivalent ports of your reverse proxy container. I have my docker network setup so that each container gets an adres between 10.0.10.128 and 10.0.10.254 While my routers DHCP server gives out adresses between 10.0.10.64 and 10.0.10.127, everythign before that is for static assignments. So in that case no forwarding to the server.
