Wendell. I want a 900P for testing. there are a lot of old code workloads that would work in memory better if, if I could put the reference files in a ramdisk properly. But 52 GB RAM is not something I can afford. It sounds like this could be my solution, a scratch disk. Does this mean scratch disks are back?

Maybe it makes more sense for this technology to be utilized in a server than a "modern" windows computer. Great review with all aspects of computing covered - loved the CS/projects focus inclusion, rounds out the package for all use cases. Can't wait for the next Podcast!

As a second thought, could you do some sqlite testing with it? does sqlite on a 900p come close to the performance of a proper sql server configuration? We're doing some django stuff over here and it would be so much simpler to keep the dev systems on sqlite if it wasn't for the extreme performance penalty
