(correct me if I’m wrong Shawols it’s been awhile) You can see backstage rehearsal scenes of him with SHINee. Stand By Me, I would say is up there on the list of their most iconic songs. The drama Boys Over Flower single-handedly convert a whole generation of hallyu fans in the late 00s and baby SHINee became part of people’s first ever Kpop experience basically. You can play this OST to any OG kdrama fans and they would instantly sing along. It is very nostalgic. Thank you for this. I just finished and I can’t wait for more <3

Taemin, Key and Onew have Japanese album. Last year Minho released 2 Japanese songs. I think only Jonghyun don’t have

This tour started in Tokyo but had shows in various cities including Osaka which is why you see it in the behind content. The DVD was in compilation format with performances from two different stops included. That's why all of a sudden Key and Taemin are blond in some songs, for example. And yes some things you didn't see like Onew singing Nessun Dorma or Taemin in "drag" for My First Kiss which you got glimpses of in the behind.

I will say this DVD was edited strangely... I was so surprised when there would suddenly be cuts of different clothing and even different colored and styled hair with no breaks in-between. Japan concerts usually get solo performances. I know at the very least that Minho's here was a cover of "OMG" by the black eyed peas that they showed at the end. You can probably watch those on youtube tho I'm not sure why they're not in the DVD, as other later japanese shinee concerts feature the solo performances in the DVD.

uh so i hope someone has answers but i think the concert dvd thing you watched has compiled two different concerts? one might be in tokyo and the other one in osaka. like taekey's hair color kept changing in between performances 😭😭

OMG fetus shinee!! Seeing this really makes me miss rapper Key. His MC-ing with Minho and hyping up the stage is the core of SHINee's stages for me. I always love his hype. He's the Hwasa of SHINee for me. XD

Stand By Me is the OST for a major hit k-drama Boys Over Flowers, the korean adaptation of a hit manga Hana Yori Dango. The manga is so insanely popular that three countries (Japanese, Korean, Chinese) made their own adaptation of it and the three versions all became major hit drama in all over Asia. Meteor Garden, who popularized the group F4, was the Chinese version, and I think you had the chance to hear about that version more because of how insanely popular it was back then all over the world. Following Korean first hallyu wave through Asia, the Korean version, Boys Over Flowers, was also a major success, to the point that I didn't into K-Pop at 2009 and never heard of SHINee at that time but I already know this song because of how iconic the drama was.

Thank you for posting this! It was nice to watch it again with you. As I have the dvd, I can tell you the behind the scene documentary is the right one. The documentary is about the entire Japan Tour they made in 2011 whereas the concert dvd is not an entire concert, their individual performances are missing and it was not from the same concert (it was filmed in Tokyo and Nagoya). Also, it seems that Jonghyun was unable to participate in the dance performances in the Tokyo concerts due to an ankle injury (he was replaced by Lay who was a SM trainee then).

And there is another song that everyone knows from this drama . Lucky from EXO. That`s how I start to know EXO and Shinee, because I googled the Soundtrack. That was back in early 2015...

Thank you for reacting to a SHINee concert! believe it or not, this is probably the least of them, they get much MUCH better, and that says a lot, because this concert is great. personally, my favorite SHINee concert is SW4, it has many of my favorite performances and I love the set list.

About popularity in Japan, all 5 of them are very popular there, but it's actually Taemin and Key that are usually considered the most popular there, long haired Taemin especially stole the hearts of Japanese fans… this is by no means to say that the other 3 aren't incredibly popular as well. Taemin in general is usually ranked at the top popularity wise, no matter the country or year, he was usually number 1 or at least 2. He's always been everyone's baby. My guess is that it probably played at least a small part as to why he got a solo debut first, besides the fact that he had the talent and he wanted it from before he even got into SM…
