LOONA getting 1st in a lot of stuff at the end helped them a lot. Honestly, it's hard to not still be a little bummed about it... LOONA would have won first place if they had participated in the first round. People mathed it at the time; if LOONA had gotten even a few pity points for missing it, but especially if they had been able to compete after a delay, they would have won queendom. Still, it was great for WJSN, and the other groups too! Thanks for watching queendom along with us.

Oh, and I meant to ask! If you listen to the LOONA predebut stuff in order here on patreon, would it still give money to bbc? You mentioned you don't want to watch their stuff on youtube due to copyright/monetization. Would that happen if you post it here? I know I'd be happy to see you get to know them more. Just a thought! Take care.

No. Reacting on Patreon would not give any money to BBC. But reacting on YouTube would because those videos are copyright claimed and the ad revenue generated from views goes to the claim holder. But Patreon is fine. I don't have any plans for LOONA yet - but it's a good idea and I can always save the videos and maybe post on YouTube one day if the situation gets better!

i hope you can check out wjsn's comeback show, it's so fun and the performances are amazing, oh and you'd get to meet dawon, one of the main vocalists that sadly couldn't participate in queendom due to mental health issues, her voice is incredible.

You mentioned in episode 8 you were interested in checking out Girls Planet 999. I highly recommend it. In addition to the members of Kep1er, there have been around a dozen other girls from the show that have debuted since. In my opinion, it was the most competitive Produce-style season yet.

Sir Austin! Another great episode and loved watching your reactions to these performances. Also, it looked like you did it in one sitting? Wow!!! 😊😊 Hmmmm I hope you can watch Game Caterers: Starship Entertainment in the future. It has soloists, boy groups and girl groups from Starship Ent and some actors too 😊 The show is really fun to watch. 😊

2023-04-25 17:45:45 I really enjoyed this show and your reactions, i would also prefer season 1 over this one, mainly because i was more familiar with the groups (specially my queens, mamamoo) and the idea of the show was new to me at the time, so i was more invested, in terms of performances, i think the budget difference was very evident between the two seasons lol, i can only imagine what would g-idle or mamamoo do would the same budget. I was very shocked when loona was called out as a finalist too, i was so sure it was going to be hyolyn, but i guess the last round carried alot of weight, about WJSN winning, I lowkey saw it comming because i saw the same story happen with mamamoo, them not getting first but getting 2nd and 3rd through the entire show so yeah, Im really happy that they did though, totally deserved. If you want some girlgroup content to watch either before, after or alongside with kingdom/road to kingdom, i would really recommend the show "Second world", its a show where girlgroup rappers would have a singing competition, alof of them were already in queendom such as Moonbyul, Aoa's Jimin, Oh my girl's mimi and wjsn's exy, alongside participants that you may or may not be familiar with from other groups like wonder girl's Yubin, JooE from momoland and Moon sua from billlie. Also i couldnt watch this in one go, i had 2 breaks, the first one to have dinner and second one to take a bath. <3

Ya there was a lot of gripes from viewers about the lack of live singing in the finale and its unfortunate. Its especially weird because basically every other performance up to the finale was live. I know this last performance is all about the 'Performance' but it wouldve been nice to at least hear some live singing during the parts they arent dancing like crazy. All in all i think the performances were all very good my favs were definately Loona and Kep1er i feel they definately understood the assignment of a Finale Performance.

To answer a question you had about the Finale songs all of the songs were released for queendom and and some of them made it onto the groups albums they released after the fact one example being POSE which was put onto the Loona album 'Flip that' that was released in the summer.

A lot of viewers caught the fact live singing was missing for some groups and questionned this, it's weird to not do it especially since they were doing that from the start but I guess what you said made sense about MNET because on the broadcast for the others episodes, some performances were retouched a bit ( little crack etc). WJSN definitely could sang AURA, they had a concert after and they performed AURA in it (sound even better). I'm glad you liked AURA, I remember people saying they were something missing. Usually, when people think about "Finale Performance", they always think about powerful performances, in your face and a lot of things happening in it but personnally I'm glad to have differents concepts and views on what a Finale performance can be (otherwise I would find it boring if everybody went with similar things ). What I like about AURA, I find the performance "ethereal", not a lot is happening but i'm like hypnotized by the few things I have especially the dancing for this performance. It's like they really came with their AURA and to show what they can do just like that. Also, the stylist deserve everything because the color to remind it of Aurora borealis 10/10. Honestly I don't think I can rank those performances but the only thing I can say, I think POSE is better if you listen without the performance, I think they added some extra things for the performance aspect/dance (?). I don't like Kep1er finale song because it's too much for me (I have a hard time with those type of songs, it's like for some 4th gen boysgroup) but the performance itself is 10/10 (with the chairs, the dance), the flip was done by Xiaoting if i'm not wrong. Also you were asking about a missing member, Chaehyun was really sick at that time, she went to the hospital before the start of the final live and it was a suprise to see her when the live broadcast started but you can see during the start of Kep1er performance, she was seriously sweating and at the end, her condition wasn't good neither so she just did the performance and went back. Hyolyn no complain, I love the song, live singing 10/10 ofc it's her, I love how she take the whole stage but honestly for me, YoungJi's part is the best, I just love her so much, I think she add a lot and it's so cool to see her dancing. You are right about her being the Youtuber in question, Youngji is also winner of High School Rapper 3 and she just won Show Me The Money 11 too, crazy to think she is a 02 liner. BRAVE GIRLS performance is actually one of my favorite, I think it's actually one of their best to me in QD but I totally get your opinion, the song is so good, it's one of the few i'm still listening after the show. For VIVIZ, it's actually totally my type of songs and themes, I love everything that is Fairy Tale like and musical but it's not a performance I would actually rewatch. For the finale songs, I know that LOONA and WJSN put them in their new albums as B-sides, Kep1er put it in TROUBLESHOOTER but it's written as "Remastered" so they might have done some change. Hyolyn also did it in ICE I think. I don't think VIVZ put Red Sun in one of their albums and BRAVE GIRLS, after QUEENDOM, they went for their USA concert and nothing (I'm not even surprised, i'm pissed with Brave Brothers). Everyone had a comeback after but Brave Girls and it's annoying to see how the CEO can't manage any of his groups well. Wanted to add, EXY also wrote songs for her juniors CRAVITY. Also EXY crybaby, it's so funny how in the survival show where she is, they always paint her as though when she isn't. She is really sweet especially toward her members, when she play games, a whole chaos. You describing Dayoung as "weird", it's the correct word, she is the funniest and Seola is always awkward even with some of her members (she is introvert +++) so I'm not surprise of the atmosphere with Eunha. Yves from LOONA wanted to get close to her, she had a hard time trying, it was slow and still today I'm not sure how it's going 🤣 Starship x game caterers is really fun to watch, they did a lot of Game Caterers with differents agencies but I think the Starship one is my favorite because you have the idols CRAVITY/IVE/WJSN/MONSTA X/KWILL/SEWOON but also the actors. It's fun but also so interesting to see the difference between actors and idols.

Them not singing live has more to do with the technical possible complications with all of these groups for the final performance where everyone expects this to be epic. Doesn’t mean that Mnet thought any of them couldn’t have bodied their vocals … I mean pretty much the whole season we saw incredible vocals from all the groups. Mnet is just focused on queendom as entertainment… less about the actual competition sadly. It’s similar to why big shows like the Super Bowl is often lip sync bc it is a huge deal to trust an artist to be live for something like that and rarely is done . That’s why it was such a big deal that jungkook from BTS sang so obviously live for the World Cup opening ceremony with “dreamers,” bc it’s not typically even an option . Def sad bc all these groups and artists here sound way better live so it’s a disservice to them bc ppl jump to conclusions about these girls when they really would have blown us all away here. It sucks but they still out in quite the show!

We’re you going to do kingdom in the near future? Also there’s quite a lot of lip sync from kingdom that I’ve seen so far… but it’s kinda clear why when you see these performances…. I miss the live vocals but wow.. it’s beyond impressive and the guys are so cute! Curious if you’re going to watch that? Also you should maybe add &amp;team to react to… the hybe Japanese group… omg the dancing and their very live vocals for a rookie group is impressive. They have that competition show “the howling” which is how they made the group and it was awesome bc this was one of the only shows where there was less focus on drama between the trainees and way more focus on camaraderie and support and some insane performances. I love their theme song from that it’s gorgeous and has an mv! Japanese language with these voices and the dancers Omg…. You’d love it!!!! The cool thing about this show is they actually focus on the vocal sections and have separate training with the vocal coaches for the songs they’re going to sing live for each performance…. They really push for the live singing in a way where we hear them singing acapella together and evaluated.. it was really awesome and some great songs chosen! They’ve got a few songs out and they’re all incredible and the live stages just really blew me away… the dancing and the singing are amazing for rookies especially… think you’d like this group! Also hybe game caterers with txt, enhyphen, leserrafim, guys from oneus and one other girl group I’m blanking lol but it’s a lot of fun and they’re so cute! You’d love it

Honestly the camera work for kep1er is so frustrating… they zoomed way out and way too far in the entire time… they showed one member from the waist up for huge chorus part and their dancing was insane here.. like there was so much happening that a stage focused stationary cm would have been 90 times better than this weird way of shooting them. I mean they have Hikaru and dayeon having this crazy rap back and forth while they’re dancing together where it looks like they’re controlling each other’s body’s… but they shot from like on the floor tilted up so sometimes you couldn’t even see the one behind the other to know that they’re controlling each others dance moves… we didn’t once see the chorus choreo full body shot where you could actually see the moves… I had to watch fancams lol it was so disappointing bc I’ve seen the stage cam and wow did we miss a lot here… it was so bad that it felt intentional. I’m not saying it was… I’m just saying it was that bad lol

Gosh, it's weird to think how recent this show is and how much has changed. Brave Girls officially disbanded, Loona hopefully not but probably gone too, WJSN losing members. It's funny, a lot of people refuse to get into project groups like Kep1er because they're definitely going to disband in a couple of years but another way of looking at it is that they're guarantied a few years with this group of girls. I just think it's a very special thing to have when other fandoms usually don't know until after the fact which comeback will be the very last.
