Love Yourself Speak Yourself was my fav Tour, the story-telling through those 3 Albums, and those record-breaking Concerts r just the full package. They even adapt the Album Storyline on Stage. And Outro Tear, one of BTS most heartbreaking Songs Live, is just an experience I saw them in France and Wembley.

I feel like Jimin's way better now but he'll never stop being a perfeccionist therefore nothing will ever be enough for him. he used to beat himself up a lot because of "mistakes" on stage and nowadays he's able to look past them but he still feel like he's lacking, onstage and offstage. in a recent interview for Weverse Magazine, he said he's still not entirely satisfied with himself yet and that he tried to bury his ugly thoughts and doubts by telling himself he's good enough but he still wants to do better and says he still has a long way to go. as someone who deeply loves him, his attitude towards himself worries me a lot but I honestly feel like he has a stronger mentality now and a better support system, too.

Being a fan around this time was definitely worrying.. You could see how hard they worked to point of illness and not to mention the self depreciating words they had towards themselves. They're born performers and they've always reached for perfection, that's what got them to the level they are at now. I'm glad they're kinder towards themselves now especially Jimin, he may always have these kinds of thoughts but I think he processes them better now. Also Speak Yourself tour was my favourite but if they could've done the MOTS tour in 2020 (damn u pandemic) that probably would've been my favourite (since its the best album imo). The online concert for it is amazing

I agree, he seems to have a healthier mindset today but he's still very self deprecating. We have to remember though that of all his eras wings era was the one where he had the lowest and worst self image. It was also made worse by the fact that he wrote the lyrics of lie while he was in this low state and he ended up admitting that lie is his least favourite song to perform because every time he did, he would be right back in those feelings of low self worth that the lyrics are about. I can't imagine being in that emotional state from performing the song with everything you have and then adding the pressures of singing while dancing live and wanting to not disappoint army. The whole thing was a recipe for emotional turmoil.

this is so bittersweet to me because i'm from chile and i didn't get to see them, i was a casual listener at the time and i became an army 2 weeks later :( but yes, i agree that this is hard to watch and being a fan that year wasn't easy either, it was just... a lot. btw, i'm glad you're enjoying the series so far and to answer your question, the love yourself speak yourself tour is probably my favorite, they're all really good tho, it's hard to choose only one.

Hi Austin! I hope you're enjoying your holiday break. 🤗 12:15 The song is Attack on Bangtan and is my all time favorite live performance of theirs. You probably already have the link but I'll leave one down below. Hopefully, if you get chance please watch the dance practice first and then the live in Japan. It is so insanely high energy, so I watch it every time I need a pick me up. https://youtu.be/gP0Vo0U3Yn8 Attack on Bangtan Live Japan epilogue 59:10 Personally I love when performers don't sing perfectly, especially these idols who are dancing and moving all around the stage. But ppl online were especially shitty to Jimin whenever he had a "mistake" and I'm sure that contributed to his self-doubt. If someone's live performance is *always* perfect (especially while dancing), I don't trust it. I like knowing that my faves are human and are actually singing live.

Thank you! I need to just take a week off of work and listen to their entire discography! LOL! BTS WEEK 2 LOL!

Jimin and Jungkook are known to be the two who are the hardest on themselves, as well as pushing themselves to the limits at all costs, theres a moment in Break the Silence documentary when the staff and members were talking about being careful in the rain and Hobi said explicitly this is aimed at Jimin and Jungkook, I think its also either in Break the Silence also or it might be in Memories of 2019 during the Japan SY concerts everytime they came down after Idol Jimin and Jungkook were collapsed on the floor

Jimin is much better now. As is JK - it took him a while to learn what his limits were, but I think these days he's good at not overdoing himself. I would love to go back in time and see the Wings tour. I'm not sure I could pick a favourite tour - but maybe Speak Yourself, just because by that point, they had learned how to do a tour in a healthy way - so you were getting a great show, but it wasn't at the cost of their physical/mental condition. All tours are amazing, and the energy they had in their youth was also amazing, but I think I like mature BTS the best. I'm still sad that we never got a MotS tour, especially because I had good tickets for it... I think that one would have been the best one yet.

It's really hard to pick a fav concert tour because they all have a different vibe. The Red Bullet tour was the beginning, they were just learning how to be on tour, the HYYH Tour was awesome it happens to be one of my fav eras so if I could go back in time to see it live I would, Wings is pretty iconic tour, I wish MOTS tour would've happened I was suppose to see them, PTD concerts seemed like a blast, but if I'd have to choose one it would be the Love Yourself Speak Yourself tour because especially towards the end of the tour they just let loose having fun (like the Anpanman bouncy house slide). They had a few tours under their belt and had learned a lot about when to take things a little easier, just have fun with the crowd even more. IF we get a tour in 2025 like we were suppose to have in 2020 (coming near me that is) and I can go I will die happy getting to see them live just once.

Omg!!! You haven’t heard “attack on bangtan” yet ?!?!!? Omg that’s one of the most iconic stages of that era EVER!!!! Everyone loves this stage and I think you saw that concert for the “no more dream” reaction for the live with the dance break… also the baepsae one as well.. they’re all in black , blond Jin, tight black pants , jk and jimin thigh game STRONG and they’re all over the stage vibing together and stuff… Epilogue I believe “attack on bangtan” I think it was part of the medley …. But not the one with the choreo…. Think it’s was in Japan… I’ll try to find it but omg the growly V , this era of hobi is iconic, blond bad boy yoongi spitting BARS, blond sweaty af pumped up namjoon, blond Jin w a little bad boy energy, growly jimin and rapper jungkook… you HAVE to see this one and I’m sure I’m not the only one requesting it after this bc it’s an army favorite for sure!!!

18:04 I really hope you can react to jungkooks live solo stage for “begin” bc I can’t remember why but you only saw the lyric video for it and the highlight of that stage is his dancing and his natural more raspy tone that he doesn’t get to use as much anymore but is so amazing and powerful!!! Jhope said that his solo dance was the hardest choreo any of them had done at that time… it’s crazy impressive and hearing his live vocals through the dancing is just wild. It’s fun because you can also see Lee Know during it near jk during some major points!!! I know you’d enjoy it and it’s such an underrated stage from army for some reason.. I mean it’s a song about how much jungkook loves the members that was written by namjoon… bc Jk asked him to do it…. And rm took something jungkook said about the members in what rm called the first time jungkook opened up about his emotions and cried saying his only hardship was seeing his hyungs who help take care of him… having a hard time… and how he wanted to take their pain on for them… and the song is so precious for all these reasons. That story of him wanting to take on their hardships for them is also represented so well in the dance which just makes it hit even harder knowing that. I love their bond… love their family relationship… so it’s sad to see less support for a song point blank for that lol you’ll love it I guarantee it

Armystic

Yay I knew someone was going to link this!! When he said he liked it I knew right away… someone has to recommend this army favorite!!! I think he’s seen some of that performance… the no more dream with the dance break and baepsae… I’m pretty sure he saw those from that stage but yeh that’s such an iconic song and stage… one of my favorite group stages of that era for sure!

Hello sir, hope you enjoyed your holidays or if you don’t celebrTe than hope you enjoyed your weekend and aren’t working too crazy!!! If you happen to do reactions from this album I just wanted to ask if you could please react to jungkooks live solo stage for “begin,” I think you only saw a lyric video for it when you did the jk videos.. and for this song that’s literally about his love for his hyungs, written by rm bc jk asked him to… and rm took what jungkook said the first time he really cried and opened up that his only hardship was seeing his hyungs that help take care of him struggling…. And how he wished he could take that pain on for them …. But rm used this idea to write the song… the choreo is insane first off. Hobi said it was one of the most difficult choreo any of them had done up to that point… but also the dance actually shows the words of the song with how it’s all done and performed.. and knowing what the songs about and seeing the stage with the choreo it just hits different… and it’s so much better live getting to hear jungkooks natural more raspy vocals.. different ad libs .. it’s really special stage… and you can actually see lee know right next to jungkook during some of the main dance sections which I just think is adorable!!! Anyway I know you’re doing a lot already and this isn’t something you’re likely to do a solo reaction for… but if you do the album or something I just wanted to ask for this bc it’s the best way to feel this song… through the performance. Also of course “main vocalist jungkook” updated version by ida s I always ask for but especially now with the new raw clips and recording vocal parts and stuff I think you’re going to be able to hear how little of what jungkook can do vocally is represented in BTS music even his solo songs… it’s eye opening honestly but love your take from someone with actual vocal knowledge… for you to hear the difference… just have always wanted to know your take on it ! Again totally get if you can’t do these.. but throwing them out here anyway lol borahae

I’m thrilled you are reacting to this. I really love the plans you have coming next year as well. I will enjoy watching with you. I can’t imagine people would say negative things about you reacting to their albums. It doesn’t matter if you have heard parts of the songs. It is the nature of the BTS journey. Their songs are weaved through everything. But, hearing the entire song is completely different than just a piece of it. Even if you have heard the entire song, it is different listening to the album. When you listen to an entire album from start to finish, It adds meaning to the song. So please don’t worry about any nay sayers. It’s sad there are still negative people who listen to BTS but don’t learn their incredible messages of loving people and being kind. I haven’t seen the entire Red Bullet concert so I’m excited about that. I’ve tried to purchase as many albums and DVDs as I can but there have been some that are sold out. The first episode is a great start to the series. You begin to see a new side of the boys. I had to stop and make my comments before I forgot. LOL. Now back for episode 2.

2023-01-31 03:41:52 Episode 2 - My favorite concert will be the first one I attend. I haven’t had the privilege of attending a concert yet. From what I have watched online, I think the Wings tour is the most iconic and meaningful. It changed everything. I really enjoyed watching the Wembley concert Love Yourself: Speak Yourself. It was such fun and it looked like the guys were enjoying themselves so much. Anpanman may be my favorite song at the concert. Pure fun. I wanted to be on stage with them playing on the blowup slide. 😂 My biggest fear is when they are back together, I won’t be able to get tickets to any of the concerts because everyone is going to want to go. It may break my heart. I too am willing to go to South Korea or anywhere in the world to see them. Just watching the Busan concert through fan cams brought such emotions. The memories of in person would be forever. I think there are three reasons that contribute to how Jimin felt back then about his singing. 1. He is a perfectionist. 2. He wasn’t a singer when he became a trainee. He had to learn to use his voice to sing beautifully. 3. He had the shortest trainee time of all seven. I truly believe he felt he was behind or not as good as the others because of #2 & 3. He was always working to “catch up” to the others. What he didn’t realize back then was how unique and beautiful his voice was. His high range I’m pretty sure is dolphin level. LOL Seriously, he has the most beautiful high voice. It has an ethereal quality to it as well, or he can go full raspy growl. For him to learn in I believe it was 7 or 8 months is amazing. It shows the hard work and dedication he put into being the best he could be. He didn’t want to let his brothers or Army down. I’m so glad he has grown and matured. While he will always feel he can do better, I don’t think he feels he is still playing catch up to he others anymore. He has come into his own and humbly accepts his talents. I’m so proud of him! Watching JK suffering like that is very difficult. BTS gives 120% plus and JK gives 200%. Back then especially he didn’t know how to NOT give everything he had and more. As a fan, I don’t need that. BTS at 75% is more than enough because they are that good. Their 75% is still more than mosts 100%. Even 50% would be amazing. It’s been so long since I watched this series that I will have to wait to say my favorite episode.
