My models, as a rule, are not professionals. They are not actresses. They don't know how to pose, they don't know how to hold hands, they don't understand light.

And I don't care, because I always tell them what to do. Where to stand, how to stand, where to look, smile or not, hands, fingers, eyes, hair - everything. And it's great for them, because they don't have to think about it. It's relaxing and comfortable.

Models hate when photographer says "Show me something" and then, keeps silence. All models said it to me, they feel themselves really awkward in photoshoot like this.

So, first rule. Talk a lot. Tell models everything. Guide them. Explain them everything. Say nice things and compliments about their posing and looks every minute. Show them good shots on your camera screen.

And, of course, you have to be confident and have no doubts. And, of course, it's a skill and you have to train it.

To be coninued.
