Ravensong is my favorite book from all the Green Creek series,  probably because Gordo is my favorite character and I love the relationship between him and Joe, Carter, and Kelly.  I love this book also because the first half of the book is so heartbreaking and tender at the same time.

I've made two versions of this illustration because I couldn't decide which version is better. in some ways, I like the colored version, but also the black and white one reflects the mood of the scene well. so, since I'm always undecided I'm posting both versions!
