Hey patrons! Last year, I did a few tutorials which involved doing paint-overs of some of your art - first on faces, then on poses. This month, I'd love to do a similar type of tutorial on colors. I got a question about this in last month's Q&A session and it made me think: I do believe that doing some adjustments and paint-overs could be really helpful when it comes to giving tips on how to make colors work together!

Do you struggle with colors, and are you willing submit your art for me to use in next month's tutorial? It would be ideal if you had a painting or drawing lying around that gives you the feeling that the colors are not working well together. If you're ok with me adjusting your artwork in my tutorial, you can email me at info@loish.net with your drawing and I will make a selection from those!

Keep in mind that I will be painting over it and changing your art, and that your art will be included in the video for all to see. (To get a sense of how I do that, you can watch the pose tutorial here, and the face tutorial here.) If that's something you're ok with, please submit your art!

And if you have specific struggles but don't want to submit your art, post it below - I will try to address it in the tutorial! Thanks so much everyone ❤

I'll try and post some things. But for the most part my colors feel muddy. Like...they are wrong and gross.

Yes, I do!

I’ve been focusing a lot in the past on realistic colors and lighting, but I’m working now on stylising more my color choices and simplifying my color palette :) I would be super interested to hear your take on that.

Most of the times I use way too saturated colors and I end up desaturating the whole thing several times before it looks acceptable. I think I need to choose the colors with more intent before I put them on my canvas instead of choosing them as I go further in the painting process...

Yes plz! Color theory is something I need to put more time into!
