Hello flame patrons! This month I'm going on vacation, so I won't have time to do the Q&A session until I get back! It will take place on Thursday June 30th, at 4pm CEST (note: this date has been modified from the original date of 29 June). It feels so far away! Hopefully I have some nice stories to share about my vacation during the session. You can use this time converter to figure out what time that is in your area!

I will be streaming directly into the discord server as always (check out this resource if you're not sure how to get into the server)! It would be great if you can join, but don't worry if you can't - as always it will be recorded and uploaded here for later viewing.

If you have any questions you'd like me to answer for this month's session, feel free to post it below or post it in the #ask-loish channel over in the discord server! I'm looking forward to getting your questions and having a chat with you! ❤

Hey Loish, I think we’re all familiar with the following: One day you have trouble concentrating and you do not succeed in what you want to achieve. On another day you are in a kind of trance and you can work for hours in a row and the result is usually quite good. (I found this fascinating and went to research it a bit. And apparently it’s neurologically related to brainwaves… So quite technical.) My own experiences taught me that I can best evoke this ‘trance-feeling’ when I'm very tired and while listening to a podcast or something. (but not music 🤷‍♂️) Do you suffer from the difference in creativity or are the fluctuations rather minor? Do you have any tips on this? Or have you some kind of ritual before you start drawing? But first... Have a great and safe trip and enjoy your vacation! 🌍🌞🔋

2023-06-13 05:26:50 such an interesting question!i definitely have fluctuations in my creativity! it depends a lot on whether i have other things on my mind, whether i'm going through a stressful time, and maybe just other random physiological things that ebb and flow. i'll talk about this in more detail during the Q&A session :)

If you search for “flow state,” there is a lot of good information out there you can read on this topic. I’ve been working on dialing in my daily habits as well, in an attempt to get into a flow state as routinely as possible so I can keep working and paying the bills.

Hi! I'm really interested in seeing or getting advice on how to stylize children. I'm a book illustrator and I'm trying to move outside my confort zone and get a less soft look to my books, and I'd love to know how would you tackle such proportions instead of adults!

Thanks! I'll check that. You have so many content here I didn't have time to check even half of it!
