CHALLENGE // expressions (Patreon)

It’s almost the end of October, which means it’s time for me to participate in the monthly challenge for flame tier members! This month was on drawing expressions, which I think is always a valuable exercise to improve at stylization, construction, and exaggeration when drawing faces.

I loved seeing what all the flame members created for this challenge in the discord server! So much beautiful and inspiring artwork ❤ If you created artwork for this challenge but haven’t shared it in the discord server yet, definitely hop in and show us what you made, I’d love to see it!

Flame members will also get the full process video plus a resource with some tips and advice for drawing expressions. That’s coming up tomorrow, so keep an eye on the feed! I’ll also be posting next month’s challenge next tuesday. Just like last month’s challenge, it will include:

• Reference images
• Inspiration images
• A list of resources to help you complete the challenge
• A bonus challenge for those who want to invest more time

If you want to participate and you’re not yet a flame member, be sure to upgrade your membership next week to get access to the challenge! If you want to upgrade, it’s best to do it on the 2nd so that you don’t get double charged (it’s a weird patreon issue, sorry about that!).
