I love that this is your unique approach to composition, I've read a few books on composition and they don't say things this way. Very valuable. Thank you!

I’m so glad you like it! I always try to avoid diving into existing resources about a topic too much, because I personally can’t really absorb information that’s overly technical. Not that I have a problem with it, but it’s just not how my brain works!

Love it

I think it's great that most of the things you said I already do with intuition. But I learned still so much!! I feel like I took a big step in my art journey.

You are a very talented teacher! I didn’t really find out anything I didn’t consciously or intuitively know already, BUT I enjoyed how clearly and beautifully you explained everything. And everything you said is 100% true and useful. And it was nice to see that we have the same process when constructing a good composition

Loish

thanks so much for the kind words yana! I'm happy you enjoyed it :)

This video was very useful for me. I often find it difficult to give movement to the character and give him a better shot. If I may ask: are you planning to do a tutorial on clothes? I love the tight ones like corsets and long skirts, but they often feel "stuck" to the character by turning off the movement. Thank you very much for your time dedicated to us, you are a great help and inspiration to me!

hey valeria! thanks so much - I'm glad you found this helpful! I actually have done a tutorial on clothes in the past, you can find it here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/tutorial-drawing-50251215

Thank you so much for this Lois, it's so encouraging to see your process, see how you pause, and think, and take your time with it. It's also very helpful to see how you build the piece as a whole and not bit by bit so you an get the balance right - that's something I struggle with (I get hyper detailed in small areas) and I plan on trying to train it out of me!

Loish

yes! for digital artists, getting stuck on details is such a common struggle since we can zoom in so much. glad you liked this video!
